This workshop at the 2011 David R. Collins Writers' Conference promises an in-depth overview of how to write one-act plays. Special attention will be paid to developing characters and plots in a genre that is different from both prose and poetry. This class is offered from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, June 25th, and will be a fantastic introduction to play writing.
Workshop instructor, Julie Jensen McDonald, will draw upon her experience as the author of over thirty books. Her plays have also been produced by Playcrafters and Junior Theater. She writes a monthly column, Onstage, for the Argus/Dispatch. Her books can be found on Amazon and evidences her dedication to her Danish roots and her proficiency in everything from non-fiction to cookbooks.
