Susan Collins

The family history writing seminar is designed for the person who desires to preserve their family stories for posterity, but may need support and inspiration to get started.  The seminar will share tips on how to begin and stay motivated, and to inspire family history writers to preserve those rich, wonderful stories before they are lost.

The workshop facilitator is Susan Collins, an avid family history preservationist and president of the MWC Board of Directors. She is a graduate of Augustana College, a former high school social studies teacher, and has led training sessions for Black Hawk College, MWC, and facilitated the “Writing Your Life’s Legacy Letter.” Her work has also appeared in various professional journals.

Registration for the workshop is $10 and can be made by calling (563) 324-1410 or by email to mwc@midwestwritingcenter.org.
